38k km, ex-Swiss military issue still retaining its military spec ignition, 24v electrics in excellent working order, recent starter motor, runs at a solid 80 deg. C, good oil pressure, 4wd working as it should (open and locked modes are individualy controlled), no rust in fuel tank, cab is remarkably rust free (see pictures), tires in good condition, no dry rot and pleny of tread remaining, gearbox is smooth and operates without complaint, canvas top is watertight and in fair to good condition (not mint, but this is not a show truck), has a NOS genuine Mercedes folding windscreen assembly that operates as designed. Note the extra storage box under the passenger seat, battery cut-off under the driver's seat, 24v electrical plug in cabin. Hand throttle works as designed in the event a PTO should be installed.
Off-road modifications include: professionally installed roll cage, relocated fuel tanks and battery box, fully functional 8000 Lb. Ramsey electric winch, hydraulic power steering (works flawlessly and makes the truck considerably easier to drive on and off road, just serviced (fluids, filters, valve adjustment), runs like a top, ready for work or pleasure. Euro-spec car, extrememly RARE smooth shifting factory 5 (FIVE) speed manual gearbox, has rust but is still very savable, engine is low mileage rebuild, built to Euro-specifications (have records) which runs very strong and well, working blower motor, black with tan leather, sunroof, power windows, right hand side mirror, other unusual options including w109 chrome by the windshield, have service records dating back to 1985. The car was brought into the US in 1994. Worst rust is passenger inner rocker. Most visible rust is surface. A very worthy restoration candidate. Have title.
