Work Portfolio:

Here you may view a variety of different jobs at various stages of completion.

Citroen SM:

This Citroen came to us in non-running order. We revived the Maserati motor, performed a service and established roadworthiness. We converted the Paris-Rhonne alternator and voltage regulator to a simpler and more robust Delco unit. Check back for updates as further work is performed. This car is a work in progress.

Mercedes m100 6.3L Rebuild:

In these pictures we undertook the complete rebuild of the m100 motor. We discovered the engine had one melted and two cracked pistons during disassembly.

1938 320L Pullman Limousine:

This 1938 320L Pullman Limousine is a concours ready example. We prepared this vehicle for a 120 mile round trip drive through the city of Atlanta to actively participate in a WW2 reenactment.

Mercedes 190e 2.3-16 Engine Rebuild:

What began as a minor valve job turned into a complete rebuild due to the cylinder bores being worn beyond specification. It is the hope of OWA to start tracking this car during the 2005 season.

Mercedes 380SL Klima System Rebuild:

When this 380SL came into the shop the climate control system was inoperative. Various vacuum lines were disconnected and leading no where, none of the vacuum actuators worked, and the blower motor only worked on defrost. The customer wished for this system to operate as if the car just rolled off the assembly line. Accomplishing this required that the entire vacuum system be restored and various components tested. Due to the numerous leaks from dry rotted vacuum fittings and actuators, it was decided to replace all vacuum fittings and actuators and any other items as needed. This system now works as it should and needless to say there is not a single dash rattle either.

Mercedes 380SL Motor:

This 380SL came into our shop with a broken timing chain. Various parts had been taken from the motor prior to its arrival including all of the engine vacuum lines. We found four bent valves after disassembly. We converted this motor from a single row timing chain to a dual row setup, replaced all the timing gears and guide rails. The cylinder heads were reconditioned, motor reassembled, and installed. The vacuum lines were rerun and the motor roared back to life.

M110 Motor Cylinder Head Removal:

This car came in with complaints of overheating. We found coolant in the oil and pulled the cylinder head to determine the extent of the damage done.

1972 Mercedes 280SEL Timing Chain and Cylinder Heads:

This clean 4.5 came into the shop with a sheared wooruff key on the crankshaft holding the harmonic balancer in place. It was decided to remove the front cover and replace all of the chain rails, timing chain, tensioner, and sprocket. Due to financial contraints the cylinder heads were not removed until a number of months afterwards.

Brandon Classics Auto Museum:

From time to time, we head down to Brandon Classics to perform maintenance and repair on their collection of fine automobiles. View a few of the machines that we have worked on.
